"With new episodes on their way in the coming months, kids will have something to look forward to all year." "We've long said that Netflix is revolutionizing the television industry and now we are thrilled to officially be a part of it," said Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation. Reid Scott from Veep lends his voice to the show's title character, and comedian Ken Jeong reprises his role from the feature film as the fan-favorite manicurist turned home shopping icon Kim Ly. The all new television show digs deeper into the crazy personalities of the snail crew and features 2D design to create a stylized look reflective of the Stunt Team's fast-paced, souped-up world. Stunt Team members - Turbo, Whiplash, Burn, Smoove Move, White Shadow, Skidmark and Chet - already have legions of fans from their appearance in the DreamWorks Animation's feature film Turbo, which opened in theaters around the globe earlier this year and has already grossed more than $280 million. You’ll laugh out loud when they launch into outer space, battle an apocalyptic robot, clash with a ninja stinkbug and escape a booby-trapped treasure hunt. The first-ever Netflix original series for kids, DreamWorks' Turbo FAST is a high-octane ensemble comedy that amps everything up to the extreme as Turbo and his adrenaline-fueled crew go on daring new adventures, race on the coolest tracks, and take on the craziest challengers. ![]() The world’s coolest snails take a turn off the track and set off on a wild ride filled with hilarious hijinks at every turn. On July 31st, Turbo and his crew take Turbotown by storm in the all-new season of ‘ DREAMWORKS TURBO FAST,’ premiering exclusively on Netflix July 31st. Season one and two of DreamWorks’ Turbo FAST are available now! Don’t go into this new season of the show expecting a masterpiece but, if you’re looking for a good laugh, season two of DreamWorks’ Turbo FAST is the right place for you to go. The show was well animated, had fun stories, and there were a few instants when it made me laugh out loud (which is really hard to do). While Turbo FAST is by no means a perfect show, I have to say that I really enjoyed watching it. And the creative team behind the show managed to transform the CG characters from the movie perfectly into 2D characters, which was a huge improvement from the movie. The animation has a classic feel to it that reminds me of cartoons that I watched growing up. The animation in the show looks fantastic and, unlike shows like All Hail King Julian, I could simply enjoy the show and focus on the story without being distracted by cheap looking animation. While most of the DreamWorks TV shows are computer animated, Turbo FAST is – surprisingly enough – 2D animated. Because this new season has 26 separate stories, the creators had enough time to focus on each of the snail characters and explore them more than they got to do in the movie (as well as introduce some hilarious new characters that weren’t in the movie). This new season once again features the snail characters that were the main focus of the movie and first season of the show, as well as some hilarious new characters that we’ve never seen before. The show is well written, has some hilarious and recognizable situations and characters, and it features some hilarious references that only adults will get. ![]() While one might expect that this is mainly a show made for kids, I think adults will probably enjoy it even more than kids will. But, after watching a few new episodes from the second season, I have to say that I fairly enjoyed watching the show. Not being a big fan of previous DreamWorks shows on Netflix, nor the movie this is show was based off, I was quite worried that I wasn’t going to like this show either. Each episode features two, 11-minute adventures that are simply a joy to watch. ![]() This new season features 26 fantastic new adventures with your favorite snails, as well as some hilarious new characters. ![]()
